Well... it's time for some news then some art....

first item:
I don't like wasting your time... and i don't like pining...
so, starting now, there is a new way to experience www.dangharris.blogspot.com.... and that way is this... send an email to dangharrisblog @ hotmail.com with subject line "Join Mailing List" and you will receive an e-mail letting you know there's been a new post everytime there's a new post...
You can also send any questions you may have or whatever and i'll deal with it accordingly... keep in mind, anything you say to me in an e-mail may end up being posted, so just let me know somewhere in the e-mail if you don't want that...
I think that in the end this will be extremely helpful, and all around better for all of us.... feel free to let me know if you think this idea is good/no good as well....

Anyway... on to the art...
This first item is a colorization of a piece i drew way back in 2001 on january 14!... I drew this from a painting by an artist named A.C. Farley... then about a week ago, i decided it was time to give this thing some color; so i did. I'm actually very proud of how this thing turned out... although, as usual i'm already finding things i wish i'd done differently everytime i look at it... but, if i went back to fix everything i didn't like on everything i do, i'd never have time to do anything new...
Then as a special treat, i've put together a little piece I like to call "The Color Evolution".... it shows you all the different layers of color used in the above image, labeled and numbered from bottom layer to top layer... and for fun a look all the colors but without the lines... that will also be your opportunity to see the art as it was before coloring (albeit, quite a bit smaller than usual)

Anyway... i hope you like it; but if you didn't, i was planning on doing it regardless.... so please enjoy this item whose creation began at the turn of the century:

Well... i know i said that i would be posting more regularly... and certainly that was the plan... but then i got a new plan...
As i have not spent very much time in my room, keeping it organized has not been a high priority... but, lately i've found myself in there a lot more... i'll let you who know me figure out why...
So, i have begun the great task of organizing my stuff....
I am currently in Phase 02: Search and Rescue... this consists of locating items that i do not want thrown away, recycled, shredded, burned, etc., and setting them aside for Phase 03: (witty name that describes the act of putting stuff where it belongs coming soon)....
But, i have taken yet another break from this oh so tedious task in order to provide you with some material... (it should be noted that although i have not posted, i have, in fact, been working with much of my material for future posts... the only thing really stopping me from doing so more frequently is this internet-from-hell that the world knows as dial-up... oh how i hate it...)
Also, one thing that has held me up a little bit has been the scanning in of my old sketchbooks... a few weeks back, my aunt & uncle and 2 of my cousins were visiting, and the younger of the two cousins, Hale (male, age 14ish), decided to route around my bookshelf and look through the sketchbooks... and while looking at some of them with him, i noticed that several of the images were becoming degraded (specifically those done in pencil). So i decided it was time to secure these images on my hard drive.... i have scanned over 550 images; from post-it note size to 8.5x11... (the bigger ones are a pain for various reasons, so i'll save them for later... i'll also spare you another potentially long explanation as to why it's a pain... oh, yes... it would be even longer than this....)
So, long story somewhat shorter: i have a LOT of source material to work with....some of it dating back to 12 years ago in good old 1994...

OK... i know most of you didn't read anything above this... you're probably not reading this either... but now i say: On to the images....

I'm only giving you a couple... one from February of last year... it's a piece i did for art class at LCC... i like it... the second is a 2 panel comic strip i drew in church just yesterday... now it's being brought to you in full color...

anyway... please enjoy these blah, blah, blah:
